§ 27-8.1-2.1 - Statement to fire department concerning burned motor vehicle. - Rhode Island Statutes

SECTION 27-8.1-2.1

   § 27-8.1-2.1  Statement to fire departmentconcerning burned motor vehicle. – (a) Whenever a motor vehicle as defined in § 31-1-3(o) is burned, theowner of record of the vehicle shall submit to the fire department for the cityor town in which the vehicle is located a statement signed under the penaltiesof perjury containing any information concerning the burning of the vehiclethat the state fire marshal or his or her designee shall require.

   (b) The state fire marshal or his or her designee isempowered and directed to develop and adopt an appropriate form upon which toenter the owner's statement, which form shall contain the requisite informationas provided in § 27-8.1-3.
