§ 27-9.1-1 - Purpose.
SECTION 27-9.1-1
§ 27-9.1-1 Purpose. – The purpose of this chapter is to set forth standards for the investigation anddisposition of claims arising under policies or certificates of insuranceissued to residents of Rhode Island. It is not intended to cover claimsinvolving workers' compensation, fidelity, suretyship or boiler and machineryinsurance. Nothing contained in this chapter shall be construed to create orimply a private cause of action for violation of this chapter.
