§ 27-9-29 Review of application of ratingsystem to insured. Every rating organization and every insurer which makes its own rates shallprovide within this state reasonable means by which any person aggrieved by theapplication of its rating system may be heard, in person or by his or herauthorized representative, on his or her written request to review the mannerin which the rating system has been applied in connection with the insuranceafforded to that person. If the rating organization or insurer fails to grantor reject that request within thirty (30) days after it is made, the applicantmay proceed in the same manner as if the applicant's application had beenrejected. Any party affected by the action of the rating organization orinsurer on that party's request may, within thirty (30) days after writtennotice of the action, appeal to the commissioner, who, after a hearing heldupon not less than ten (10) days written notice to the appellant and to therating organization or insurer, may affirm or reverse the action.
