SECTION 27-9-5.1

   § 27-9-5.1  Uniform safe driver pointsystem. – The director of the department of business regulation is authorized andempowered to promulgate rules and regulations regarding a uniform safe driverpoint system on either a flat dollar rate or on a percentage rate for motorvehicle accidents and/or motor vehicle convictions without regard to age, sex,or the location of the garaging of the motor vehicle. Those rules shall bepromulgated in accordance with the Administrative Procedures Act, chapter 35 oftitle 42.
