SECTION 28-16-3

   § 28-16-3  Receipt and disbursement offederal funds – State appropriations. – The general treasurer shall receive and provide for the proper custody of allfunds paid to the state from the federal treasury under the provisions of theFair Labor Standards Act, 29 U.S.C. § 201 et seq., and shall disbursethose funds upon orders drawn by the controller upon receipt by him or her ofproper vouchers approved by the director of the department of labor andtraining. Nothing in this chapter shall be construed as authorizing thedepartment of labor and training to spend in excess of its appropriation fromstate funds except to the extent that the excess may be paid and/or theappropriation may be reimbursed by the United States Department of Laborthrough the federal treasury; and, provided, that the payment and request forreimbursement shall be approved by the director of administration.
