SECTION 28-31-14

   § 28-31-14  Effect of federal benefits todisaster response workers. – Any sums payable under any act of congress or other federal program ascompensation for death, disability, or injury of disaster response workersshall be considered in connection with the determination and settlement of anyclaim brought under the provisions of §§ 28-31-12 and 28-31-13. Whenthe payments received from the United States are less than an injured memberwould have been entitled to receive under §§ 28-31-12 –28-31-14, then the worker shall be entitled to receive all the benefits towhich he or she would have been entitled under those sections less the benefitsactually received from the United States.
