SECTION 28-31-9

   § 28-31-9  Application to national andstate guard members. – Members of the national guard and Rhode Island state guard injured in theperformance of required, authorized, or permitted duty shall be deemed to beemployees of the state, and shall be entitled to all the benefits of chapters29 – 38 of this title in accordance with the limitations, requirements,and restrictions of those chapters, provided that the duty is state active dutypursuant to § 30-2-6. Personnel performing duty in any other status shallnot be deemed to be employees of the state.
