SECTION 28-35-13

   § 28-35-13  Insurance commissioner as agentto receive process. – Every employer subject to or who elects to become subject to chapters 29 –38 of this title and/or his or her insurer shall be deemed to have appointedthe insurance commissioner of this state or his or her successor in office tobe his or her true and lawful attorney upon whom may be served all lawfulprocesses, petitions, and notices in any action or proceeding against theemployer and/or insurer, wherever that service is provided for in §§28-35-14 – 28-35-28.
