SECTION 28-37-17

   § 28-37-17  Examination of returns –Hearings on amount due. – As soon as practicable after the return is filed, the director shall examine itand determine the correct amount due and in case any error is disclosed by thatexamination he or she shall notify the insurer. The director shall then givethe insurer not less than ten (10) days' notice by mail of the time and placeof the hearing upon the question of the correct amount of the payment. Afterthe hearing, the insurer shall be given notice by mail by the director of hisor her determination of the correct amount of the payment.
