SECTION 28-45-10

   § 28-45-10  Definitions. – For the purposes of this chapter:

   (1) "Apprenticeship agreement" means a written agreementbetween an apprentice and either his or her employer, or an apprenticeshipcommittee acting as agent for employer(s), which agreement contains the termsand conditions of the employment and training of the apprentice.

   (2) "Apprenticeable occupation" means a skilled trade whichpossesses all of the following characteristics:

   (i) It is customarily learned in a practical way through astructured, systematic program of on the job supervised training.

   (ii) It is clearly identified and commonly recognizedthroughout an industry.

   (iii) It involves manual, mechanical, or technical skills andknowledge that requires a minimum of two thousand (2,000) hours of on the jobwork experience.

   (iv) It requires related instruction to supplement the on thejob training.
