SECTION 28-47-1

   § 28-47-1  Definitions. – (a) As used in this chapter the term "employers" shall include:

   (1) Employers with related activity in a given industryemploying persons who perform work in connection with the given industry;

   (2) An incorporated or unincorporated association orassociations consisting exclusively of those employers provided they employpersons who perform that related work in the given industry; and

   (3) A combination of employers as described in subdivision(1) of this subsection and an association or associations of employers asdescribed in subdivision (2) of this subsection.

   (b) The "director" is the director of the department ofbusiness regulation.

   (c) "Employee leasing company" means a sole proprietorship,partnership, corporation or other form of business entity whose businessconsists largely of providing workers to one or more client companies by meansof employee leasing arrangements.

   (d) "Group self-insurance" as used in this chapter, shall bedeemed to be the system of securing compensation as provided in this chapter.
