§ 28-51-1 - Definitions.
SECTION 28-51-1
§ 28-51-1 Definitions. – (a) As used in this chapter, "Employer" means any entity employing fifty (50)or more employees.
(b) As used in this chapter, "Sexual harassment" means anyunwelcome sexual advances or requests for sexual favors or any other verbal orphysical conduct of a sexual nature when:
(1) Submission to that conduct or those advances or requestsis made either explicitly or implicitly a term or condition of an individual'semployment; or
(2) Submission to or rejection of the conduct or advances orrequests by an individual is used as the basis for employment decisionsaffecting the individual; or
(3) The conduct or advances or requests have the purpose oreffect of unreasonably interfering with an individual's work performance orcreating an intimidating, hostile, or offensive working environment.
