§ 28-7-36 - Privilege against self-incrimination.

SECTION 28-7-36

   § 28-7-36  Privilege againstself-incrimination. – No person shall be excused from attending and testifying or from producingbooks, records, correspondence, documents, or other evidence in obedience tothe subpoena of the board on the ground that the testimony or evidence requiredof him or her may tend to incriminate him or her or subject him or her to apenalty or forfeiture under the laws of the state. No individual shall beprosecuted or subjected to any penalty or forfeiture on account of anytransaction, matter, or thing concerning which he or she is, after havingclaimed his or her privilege against self-incrimination, compelled to testifyor produce evidence, except that the individual testifying shall not be exemptfrom prosecution and punishment for perjury committed in testifying.
