§ 29-5-2 - Compliance with local laws. - Rhode Island Statutes

SECTION 29-5-2

   § 29-5-2  Compliance with local laws.– No city, town, or library district of this state, hereinafter to be created,shall be party to a library agreement which provides for the construction ormaintenance of a library pursuant to article III(c)7 of § 29-5-1, norpledge its credit in support of that library, or contribute to the capitalfinancing thereof, except after compliance with any laws applicable to thecities, towns, or library districts hereinafter to be created relating to orgoverning capital outlays and the pledging of credit.
