   § 29-7-1  Purpose. – The purpose of this chapter is to establish a state publications clearinghousefor libraries which will systematically collect and distribute statepublications to libraries throughout the state in order to facilitate publicaccess to publications issued by state agencies and for exchange ofpublications with agencies outside of the state under the direction of thestate librarian as provided in § 29-1-5.
