§ 31-1-24 - Intersection.

SECTION 31-1-24

   § 31-1-24  Intersection. – (a) "Intersection" means the area embraced within the prelongation orconnection of the lateral curb lines, or, if none, then the lateral boundarylines of the roadways of two (2) highways which join one another at, orapproximately at, right angles, or the area within which vehicles travelingupon different highways joining at any other angle may come in conflict.

   (b) Where a highway includes two (2) roadways thirty feet(30') or more apart, then every crossing of each roadway of that dividedhighway by an intersecting highway is to be regarded as a separateintersection. When the intersecting highway also includes two (2) roadwaysthirty feet (30') or more apart, then every crossing of the two (2) roadways ofthat highway is to be regarded as a separate intersection.
