SECTION 31-17-3

   § 31-17-3  Intersection with throughhighway. – The driver of a vehicle shall stop at the entrance to a through highway andshall yield the right-of-way to other vehicles which have entered theintersection from the through highway, or which are approaching so closely onthe through highway as to constitute an immediate hazard, but the driver havingso yielded may proceed and the drivers of all other vehicles approaching theintersection on the through highway shall yield the right- of-way to thevehicle so proceeding into or across the through highway. Violations of thissection are subject to the fines enumerated in § 31-41.1-4.
