SECTION 31-18-15

   § 31-18-15  Pedestrians who are blind ordeaf not guided by dog or carrying white cane. – Nothing contained in §§ 31-18-13 – 31-18-16 shall be construedto deprive any person who is blind, visually impaired, or deaf, but notcarrying a cane or walking stick, or not being guided by a dog, of the rightsand privileges conferred by law upon pedestrians crossing streets or highways.In no case shall the failure of the person who is blind, visually impaired ordeaf to carry a cane or walking stick, or to be guided by a guide or signal dogupon the streets, highways, or sidewalks of this state, be held to constitutenor be evidence of contributory negligence.
