SECTION 31-23-42.2

   § 31-23-42.2  Power equipment on schoolbuses. – (a) Every new school bus within the state shall be equipped with a dual brakingsystem, including a power braking system, and power steering.

   (b) All school buses, model year 2010 and newer, shall haveemergency brakes that are equipped with an interlock system so designed thatthe emergency brake may be released only when the service brake pedal isdepressed and the ignition key is inserted in the ignition lock.
