   § 31-23-57  Eye protection for motorcycleoperators. – (a) Every motorcycle operator shall be required to wear protective eyewearwhile operating on any highway within the state. The eyewear shall include, butnot be limited to, safety goggles, safety eyeglasses, or a safety shield.

   (b) Any person who violates the provisions of this sectionshall be fined twenty-five dollars ($25.00) for the first offense, fiftydollars ($50.00) for the second offense, and one hundred dollars ($100) for thethird and each subsequent offense.
