SECTION 31-24-38

   § 31-24-38  Color of clearance and markerlamps and reflectors. – (a) Front clearance lamps and those marker lamps and reflectors mounted on thefront or on the side near the front of a vehicle shall display or reflect anamber color.

   (b) Rear clearance lamps and those marker lamps andreflectors mounted on the rear or on the sides near the rear of a vehicle shalldisplay or reflect a red color.

   (c) All lighting devices and reflectors mounted on the rearof any vehicle shall display or reflect a red color, except the stop light orother signal device, which may be red, amber, or yellow, and except that thelight illuminating the license plate or the light emitted by a back up lampshall be white.

   (d) Violations of this section are subject to finesenumerated in § 31-41.1-4.
