SECTION 31-26-8

   § 31-26-8  Reports by owner when driverincapable. – Whenever the driver is physically incapable of making a written report of anaccident as required in § 31-26-6 and the driver is not the owner of thevehicle, then the owner of the vehicle involved in the accident shall withintwenty one (21) days after learning of the accident make the report not made bythe driver.
