SECTION 31-27-15

   § 31-27-15  Disposition of fines andforfeitures. – (a) All fines and forfeitures collected upon conviction or upon forfeiture ofbail of any person charged with a violation of any of the provisions ofchapters 1 – 46 of this title shall be deposited in the treasury of thestate.

   (b) Provided, a city or town police department, enforcing anymotor vehicle violation contained in this title, which results in a conviction,shall receive five dollars ($5.00) from any fine imposed in accordance with theprovisions of § 31-41.1-4.
