SECTION 31-27-5

   § 31-27-5  Motor carriers – Maximumdriving and on-duty time. – (a) Maximum driving time. Except for intrastate carrier tows andrecovering operations provided at the request of a law enforcement agency forpublic safety purposes, no motor carrier shall permit or require any driverused by it to drive nor shall any driver exceed the hours for service fordrivers as provided in 49 CFR Part 395, as may be amended from time to time.

   (b) Drivers may be declared out of service for violations ofthis section or 49 CFR Part 395 as may be amended from time to time.
