SECTION 31-3.1-16.1

   § 31-3.1-16.1  Electronic recording ofsecurity interests. – The registrar is authorized to develop, establish and maintain an electronicdata and communications system with banks, credit or other financialinstitutions for the purpose of electronically recording the existence ofsecurity interests under the provisions of this chapter. Where an electroniclien recording method is employed, the registrar may waive the issuance andmailing of the certificate of title to the lienholder.
