SECTION 31-3-11.1

   § 31-3-11.1  Permanent registration andplates. – (a) Every vehicle owned by the state of Rhode Island and any fire apparatus forwhich no fee is assessed shall be issued permanent registration andregistration plates. The permanent registration and plates shall remain on thevehicles to which they are assigned without expiration until the vehicle isreplaced or disposed of.

   (b) This section does not apply to certain vehicles owned bystate law enforcement agencies.
