SECTION 31-3-21

   § 31-3-21  Use of bailee, transporter, andin transit plates. – (a) A bailee may operate or move any vehicle of a type otherwise required to beregistered under this chapter upon the highways solely for the purpose ofdelivery, upon displaying on the vehicle the plates issued to him or her asprovided in §§ 31-3-23 – 31-3-25.

   (b) In transit plates may be used to operate or move specialmobile equipment upon the highways solely for the purpose of moving thatequipment to and from the location of any type of construction.

   (c) A transporter may operate or move any vehicle of a typeotherwise required to be registered under this chapter upon the highway solelyfor the purpose of delivering, upon displaying on the vehicle the plates issuedto him or her as provided in §§ 31-3-23 – 31-3-25.
