SECTION 31-3-30

   § 31-3-30  Accident chasing by tow trucks.– It shall be unlawful for any tow car or tow truck to be at the scene of a motorvehicle accident unless summoned by the participants in that accident or by theowners of the respective vehicles involved in that accident. Any owner of anytow car or tow truck or his or her duly authorized agent, if found guilty ofviolating the provisions of this section, shall be fined not exceeding twentydollars ($20.00) for the first offense and for any subsequent offense shall befined not exceeding twenty dollars ($20.00) and have his or her specialregistration certificate suspended by the administrator of the division ofmotor vehicles for such period as the administrator of the division of motorvehicles shall determine.
