§ 31-3-44 Ambulance or rescue vehicles.– The administrator of the division of motor vehicles shall issue passenger carregistration plates for any ambulance or rescue vehicle, used in transportingsick or injured patients, owned by a city or town or as part of a volunteerambulance or rescue corps.
