   § 31-36.1-9  Enforcement powers of theadministrator. – (a) The administrator may, in the enforcement of this chapter, hold hearingsand take testimony, and for those purposes may issue subpoenas and compelattendance of witnesses, and may conduct investigations which the administratordeems necessary.

   (b) The tax administrator is authorized to avail him orherself of the services of the state police, the department of revenue, and thepublic utilities commission in enforcing the provisions of this chapter.
