   § 31-41.2-2  Legislative findings. –It is hereby found and declared that the effective and efficient enforcement oftraffic laws, rules and regulations will assist in insuring safe travel on thestreets and highways of this state. It is hereby declared to be the policy ofthe state of Rhode Island to authorize and utilize the best availabletechnology for the monitoring and prosecution of civil traffic violations,including automated traffic violation detection systems.
