   § 31-44.1-3  Severability. – If any clause, sentence, paragraph, subsection, section or part of this chapteris adjudged by any court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, the judgmentwill not affect, impair or invalidate the remainder of it but will be confinedin its operation to the clause, sentence, paragraph, subsection, section orpart directly involved in the controversy in which the judgment has beenrendered.
