   § 31-44-16  Department of businessregulation to hear matters. – (a) The director of the department of business regulation, or his or herdesignee, shall hear matters involving mobile and manufactured housing parkrules, specifically this chapter. The director shall not have jurisdiction overissues relative to rent increases or jurisdiction over evictions.

   (b) Nothing in this section shall preclude the right of thedirector to use the services of a mediator to resolve a dispute involvingmobile/manufactured housing park rules.
