SECTION 31-9-11

   § 31-9-11  Sale, purchase, or possession ofkeys or manipulative devices for automobiles. – Any person who shall sell, offer for sale, purchase, or have in his or herpossession keys or manipulative devices designed or adapted to operate theignition switches, door locks, or trunk locks of two (2) or more motorvehicles, the ignition switches, door locks, and trunk locks of which aredesigned or intended to be operated with a different key or set of keys foreach vehicle, and those vehicles are not owned or leased by that person or inhis or her lawful possession and control, unless that person is a locksmith, aduly licensed automobile dealer, a duly licensed body repair shop, an officeror employee of an automobile club or association, or a member of a dulyauthorized law enforcement agency, shall be guilty of a felony.
