SECTION 33-1.1-12

   § 33-1.1-12  Insurance companies, banks, orother obligors – Relief from liability when payment made without notice.– Any insurance company making payment according to the terms of its policy orany bank or other person performing an obligation for the slayer as one ofseveral joint obligors shall not be subjected to additional liability by theterms of this chapter if such payment or performance is made without writtennotice of the killing by a slayer, at the home office of the insurance companyor bank, home, or business address of the other person, of circumstancestending to bring it within the provisions of this chapter.
