SECTION 33-1-11

   § 33-1-11  Advancements. – If real estate shall be conveyed by deed of gift, or personal estate shall bedelivered to a child or grandchild, and charged, or a memorandum made thereofin writing by the intestate or by his or her order, or shall be deliveredexpressly for that purpose in the presence of two (2) witnesses, who wererequested to take notice thereof, the real estate or personal estate shall bedeemed an advancement to the child to the value of the real or personal estate.
