SECTION 33-15.1-6

   § 33-15.1-6  Appointment in lieu ofguardian nominated by minor. – If a minor of the age of fourteen (14) years shall neglect to choose a guardianwhen cited by the court to do so, or shall choose one whom the court does notapprove, or one who shall neglect to give bond as required by the court or bylaw, the court may appoint a guardian in the same manner as if the minor wereunder the age of fourteen (14) years.
