§ 33-15-20 - Statements of claims against estate.

SECTION 33-15-20

   § 33-15-20  Statements of claims againstestate. – Creditors of a ward shall file statements of their claims in the office of theprobate clerk. Those claims filed within six (6) months, if allowed or proved,shall be preferred in payment over all claims subsequently filed. Claims filedafter six (6) months shall be payable only out of the surplus propertyremaining in the hands of the limited guardian or guardian after paying claimsfiled within the time and all expenses and all allowances made by the court.
