SECTION 33-6-9

   § 33-6-9  Gift for life with remainder toissue. – Whenever a devise or bequest is made to one for life and thereafter to his orher issue in any will hereafter made, issue shall be construed to be thechildren of the life tenant living at his or her death, and the linealdescendants of those children as may have then died, as tenants in common, butthe descendants of any deceased child taking equally amongst them the shareonly which their deceased parent, if then living, would have taken.
