   § 34-13.1-8  Other statutes not affected.– Nothing contained in this chapter shall be construed to extend the period forbringing an action or for doing any other required act under any statute oflimitation, nor, except as herein specifically provided, to affect theoperation of any statute governing the effect of the recording or the failureto record any instrument affecting land.
