SECTION 34-13-4

   § 34-13-4  Entry of time of presentationfor recording – Receiving book. – Whenever any instrument entitled to be recorded shall be presented forrecording, the town clerk or recorder of deeds, as the case may be, immediatelyupon its presentment, shall cause to be entered in writing on the instrumentthe day, the hour, and the minute when the instrument was presented forrecording, and shall enter this information, in the order of presentment, in areceiving book to be kept for that purpose.
