SECTION 34-16-11
§ 34-16-11 Service on nonresidents. –A nonresident defendant whose place of residence or business is known to theplaintiff shall be served by sending the process registered or certified mailto the defendant postpaid, addressed to his or her residence or place ofbusiness last known to the plaintiff.
