SECTION 34-37-9

   § 34-37-9  Construction. – The provisions of this chapter shall be construed liberally for theaccomplishment of the purposes intended and any provisions of any lawinconsistent with any provisions hereof shall not apply. Nothing contained inthis chapter shall be construed to repeal any of the provisions of any law ofthe state prohibiting discrimination based on race or color, religion, sex,marital status, country of ancestral origin, disability, age, or familialstatus. Nothing contained in this chapter shall restrict the originaljurisdiction of the courts to proceed with evictions as provided in chapter 18of this title.
