§ 34-39-1 - Purpose.
SECTION 34-39-1
§ 34-39-1 Purpose. – The purpose of this chapter is to grant a special legal status to conservationrestrictions and preservation restrictions so that landowners wishing toprotect and preserve real property may do so without uncertainty as to thelegal effect and enforceability of those restrictions. This chapter is furtherintended to provide the people of Rhode Island with the continued diversity ofhistory and landscape that is unique to this state without great expendituresof public funds.
