SECTION 35-6-31

   § 35-6-31  Accounting for fines andforfeitures by others than clerks and justices. – Sheriffs, deputy sheriffs, jailers, and other persons, except clerks of courtsand justices of district courts, receiving fines, penalties, and forfeituresaccruing or belonging to the state, or costs due or payable into the statetreasury, shall account with the department of administration for the fines,penalties, forfeitures, and costs, as often as may be required by thedepartment.
