SECTION 36-10-37

   § 36-10-37  Retirement benefits for certaingeneral state officers. – Any person who has served as governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general,secretary of state, or general treasurer for a period of twenty (20)consecutive years shall be entitled, upon his or her resignation or retirement,to receive annually during his or her life a sum equal to three quarters (3/4)of the salary he or she was receiving at the time of his or her resignation orretirement.
