SECTION 36-12.1-12

   § 36-12.1-12  Annual report and statement.– The OPEB Board shall submit to the governor for transmittal to the generalassembly, on or before the first day of January in each year beginning in 2011,an annual report showing the financial transactions of the system for thefiscal year of the state next preceding said date. The report shall contain,among other things, a statement of plan net assets, a statement of changes inplan net assets, a valuation balance sheet as prepared by the actuary on aschedule in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, and otherstatistical data as are deemed necessary for a proper interpretation of thecondition of the system and the results of its operations. The report shallalso embody such other data as may be of use in the advancement of knowledgeconcerning state employee OPEB and any recommendations of the board for changesin the laws pertaining to the system. The OPEB Board shall cause to bepublished for distribution among the members of the system a financialstatement summarizing the results of operations for the fiscal year. Allfinancial statements issued by the OPEB Board shall conform to the requirementsof GAAP.
