SECTION 36-3-11
§ 36-3-11 Statutory references to previousagencies and officials. – (a) Wherever in any general or public law the words "civil service commission"appear or are implied, there shall be substituted therefor the words "directorof administration", except that wherever the words "civil service commission"appear in relation to the rights of any person to appeal against an action ofan appointing authority resulting in a dismissal, demotion, discriminationbecause of race, sex, age, disability, or political or religious beliefs,suspension or layoff, the words "personnel appeal board" shall be substituted.
(b) Wherever in any general or public law the words "directorof civil service" appear or are implied there shall be substituted therefor thewords, "personnel administrator".
