SECTION 36-4-3
§ 36-4-3 Branches of classified service.– The classified service shall be divided into a competitive branch and anoncompetitive branch. The competitive branch shall consist of all positions inthe classified service except those assigned to the noncompetitive branch ashereinafter provided.
