SECTION 36-4-34

   § 36-4-34  Transfers within classifiedservice. – An appointing authority may at any time transfer any classified employee underhis or her jurisdiction from one position to another in the same class ofposition. In every such case the appointing authority shall give written noticeof his or her action to the personnel administrator, according to the rulestherefor prescribed. Transfer of a classified employee from a position underthe jurisdiction of one appointing authority to a position under thejurisdiction of another appointing authority may be made subject to rulesestablished therefor, with the approval of the personnel administrator and ofboth appointing authorities concerned.
